About Me

I am a mid-twenties grad student, working towards a Ph.D. in chemistry the wonderful-ish town of Ann Arbor, MI.  I was born in upper Michigan, raised in the Chicago suburbs, and did my undergrad in Champaign, IL, so these are all places I consider "home."  Working in science, I naturally think about science quite a bit, so expect to hear about that from time to time.  Outside of science, I probably spend the most time sleeping, but sleeping isn't interesting, so you probably won't hear much about that.

When I'm not sciencing or sleeping, my days are filled with awesome activities like cooking, lifting weights, running (more like jogging), binge watching wedding shows, board games, and beer.  I also find myself spending more and more time thinking about broader topics such as "health" and "money."  I also have a constant, burning desire to talk about these hobbies and interests.  Thus, pHris and Chips was born.
